AVFlex is a stand-alone product group in the Airvent portfolio that includes a flexible plastic ventilation duct system and its accessories. AVFlex offers a complete solution for the design of residential ventilation systems. A full range of accessories is available to meet different application needs.
The air treated by the central ventilation unit reaches the various rooms in the building through the connection boxes (DB-T, DB-P) and the AVFLEX-SB flexible air ducts connected to the air valves or diffusers through the DB-F connection boxes, ensuring proper ventilation. The boxes are provided with 10 mm internal insulation (ISO marking at the end of the product code).
The nominal connection size of the various valves and diffusers installed on the ceiling or side wall (marked d1) is 125 mm. The diameter of the AVFLEX-SB flexible air duct connections (marked d2) is 75 mm. The insulated DB-F box is available with a short (without marking) and a long neck (‘L’ marking), as well as 2 or 3 pcs D75 mm duct connections. The connection between the flexible air duct and the box can be made airtight by using the sealing ring (AVFLEX-USC-75).
These boxes are basic elements of ventilation systems in residential buildings, which connect the D75 mm air ducts coming from the central ventilation unit (via a junction box) to the supply/exhaust valves or diffusers. The box with high mechanical strength makes it suitable for fixing and placement in the floor, concrete, ceiling or wall.
The connection box is made of galvanized steel sheet, with 10 mm thick self adhesive closed-cell NBR synthetic rubber foam sound insulation inside.
