Airvent's Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance Policy

At Airvent, we are committed to making environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) a fundamental part of our journey. We strive to ensure that every department of our company is aligned with our ESG policy. We use a defined set of criteria to evaluate the social and environmental impact of our operations. This helps us to identify non-financial risks and opportunities, which we can then monitor and share with our partners and other stakeholders.

Environment

Our environmental protection efforts are a top priority. We have been operating a certified Environment-Centered Management System since 2004, which underscores our commitment to sustainability and environmental protection. 

We recognize the importance of ESG in building a sustainable future. By prioritizing sustainability and environmentally-friendly solutions, we are committed to creating a better future for our company, employees, and stakeholders. For example, our new Competence Center facility is equipped with a 68 kWp solar panel system that provides enough electricity to power our office building and laboratory premises for most of the year. We also prioritize the comfort of our employees by using a demand-based ventilation system supplemented with heat pump heating and cooling. This not only reduces our carbon footprint but also ensures high-quality air for our employees.

As a company that relies on energy to power our operations, we understand the importance of reducing our impact on the environment and promoting a more sustainable workplace. That is why we have set a goal to eliminate natural gas-powered equipment from our operations by 2030, and to cover nearly all of the electricity consumption of our facilities with locally-produced renewable energy.

A sustainable workplace

As a company that relies on energy to power our operations, we understand the importance of reducing our impact on the environment and promoting a more sustainable workplace. That is why we have set a goal to eliminate natural gas-powered equipment from our operations by 2030, and to cover nearly all of the electricity consumption of our facilities with locally-produced renewable energy.

We are also taking steps to make our transportation of products more sustainable, with a focus on intermodal transport via rail to our partners in Europe. This reduces our carbon footprint and promotes environmentally friendly practices in the transportation industry.

As one of the largest manufacturer and distributor of ventilation products in Hungary, we understand the importance of developing innovative solutions that are energy-efficient, healthy, and environmentally friendly. We are constantly exploring new ways to use sustainable materials in our products and processes, and we are proud to say that our products are designed to minimize environmental impact while delivering exceptional quality to our customers.

Our industry is characterized by three important aspects: energy-efficient, healthy and environmentally friendly solutions. One of the directions of our product development is to increase the use of sustainable materials in our products and processes while minimizing the environmental impact, while continuously ensuring quality and delivering flawless products to our customers. By switching to a new insulation material recycled during production, we can meet all three aspects.

In addition to our environmental efforts, we also prioritize the social aspect of our business.

At Airvent, we strive to produce valuable, safe, effective, and compelling products while providing great service to our customers. This goal can only be achieved with a dedicated and cohesive collective that values continuous development and feels appreciated.

Governance

At Airvent, we've always been committed to leading the way in Hungary when it comes to quality assurance and management systems. We were one of the first to introduce and certify these systems, and we've continued to develop them over time, including our environment-oriented and energy management systems.
