World Environment Day 2026

Sustainability starts with the choices we make

World Environment Day on 5 June reminds us that protecting the environment is not only the responsibility of governments and society. Companies also have an important role to play in shaping the future we leave behind. This is particularly true within the construction and building services industries, where the systems we design, manufacture and operate have a significant impact on energy consumption, indoor environmental quality and the use of natural resources. This responsibility encourages us to make conscious decisions throughout our operations and to continuously look for ways to improve.

Healthier buildings, lower environmental impact

Modern ventilation systems play an important role in creating healthier indoor environments while supporting more sustainable buildings. Effective ventilation provides clean indoor air, while energy-efficient systems help reduce energy consumption and lower carbon emissions throughout a building's lifecycle.

Efficiency throughout the entire lifecycle

Today's ventilation systems are designed to deliver more than clean air. Through efficient heat recovery, demand-controlled ventilation and temperature control, and purpose-designed room solutions, they can significantly reduce operational energy use while maintaining healthy indoor environments and a high level of occupant comfort.

Healthier indoor environments

People spend nearly 90% of their time indoors. Well-designed ventilation systems contribute to better indoor air quality, improved thermal comfort and the creation of healthier, more comfortable and productive indoor environments.

Sustainable solutions for the buildings of tomorrow

Sustainability today extends far beyond energy consumption. The environmental impact of materials, recyclability, product lifespan and lifecycle carbon footprint are becoming increasingly important considerations. The buildings of tomorrow require solutions that support responsible resource use throughout the entire value chain.

The entire life cycle matter

For us, a sustainable product means more than its efficient operation. It is equally important to understand a product's environmental impact throughout its entire life cycle, from raw materials, manufacturing, shipment to operation and end-of-life management. For this reason, an increasing number of our products are supported by EPDs. These declarations provide transparent and independently verified information about environmental performance across the full life cycle of a product, helping consultant engineers, contractors and building owners make informed decisions.

ESG – Being responsible, today and tomorrow

Through our ESG approach, we also focus on our employees, partners and responsible corporate governance. We believe that long-term success should not be measured solely by financial performance, but also by the impact a company has on its environment and the communities around it.

Smaller footprint. Greater impact

Reducing our environmental impact goes beyond the products we develop. It is reflected in how we manufacture, use energy and continuously improve our operations. Through ongoing investments in modern production equipment, process improvements and efficiency, we continuously reduce the energy required to run our operations. At the same time, our solar power systems help increase the share of renewable energy used across our facilities.

Our ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 50001 Energy Management System support the continuous measurement, evaluation and improvement of our environmental and energy performance.

Designing to improve

Every day, our R&D team work to make our products more efficient, quieter and higher performing. Our goal is to develop solutions that help ventilation systems operate more efficiently, create healthier indoor environments and deliver long-term value with a lower environmental impact. Whether through smarter controls, better-performing products, more efficient use of materials or the introduction of more sustainable alternatives, we continuously look for ways to create healthier, more efficient and more sustainable buildings.

Values guide progress

Creating a more sustainable future requires values that guide the decisions made every day by individuals and organizations alike. At Airvent, we believe that long-term progress is built through many small, conscious choices. The products we develop, the way we manufacture, the energy we use and the partnerships we build are all shaped by this mindset.

On World Environment Day, we are reminded that meaningful change rarely comes from a single breakthrough. It is built through countless improvements, thoughtful decisions and sustained effort over time. That is why we remain committed to continuously improving our products, our operations and our environmental performance, contributing step by step to healthier buildings and a more sustainable future.
