The RBV type elbow-shaped sound attenuator was designed to fit rectangular duct systems. The attenuator was developed specifically to reduce noise in ventilation systems.
The RBV series is a vertical elbow silencer that allows noise attenuation to be achieved at the same location as the duct direction change. This is particularly advantageous in systems where the available installation length is limited.
The baffle design and optimized flow geometries ensure effective sound attenuation with low pressure loss.
The RBV sound attenuator can be used in air conditioning systems where noise attenuation must be achieved together with a vertical change of direction of the duct.
The RBV sound attenuator is available in several standard sizes, making it easy to fit into rectangular duct systems. During the dimensioning, the arrangement of the baffles and the size of the silencer are determined by taking into account the cross-section of the duct, the sound attenuation requirement and the pressure loss.
The sound attenuator is made of galvanized steel sheet. The baffles contain highly effective sound-absorbing rockwool insulation material, with a laminated, cleanable surface. The rockwool according to EN 13501-1, A1 is non-combustible and has excellent acoustic properties, while meeting the durability and hygiene requirements expected in air-conditioning systems.
Under normal operating conditions, the RBV sound attenuator does not require maintenance. The silencer can be used in systems where the air duct network is cleaned through other points in the duct system.
