Description

DUO is an airflow control valve with a unique damper blade, equipped with an on/off actuator as standard. When receiving a signal from a local controller, the damper blade either opens completely when the zone or room is occupied, or closes in absent mode. When closed, the valve – through the special nozzle perforations on the blade – is still able to ensure very accurate and easily calculated airflows (depending on the chosen perforation type: A=10%, B=15%, C=20%, D=25% of the designed airflow), while securing low noise levels . DUO was designed specifically as a simple and reliable DCV option for chilled beams, and is produced in 4 sizes ranging from Ø100 - Ø200 mm.

(Diagram 2.) With the blade completely open, DUO lets 38 l/s airflow to the zone. With a closed blade and 'A' type perforation selected the air volume is reduced to 3,8 l/s (B: 5,7 l/s, C: 7,8 l/s, D: 9,5 l/s), which allows for minimum ventilation of the space even during absence. If DUO is connected to the chilled beam control system, the on/off function is triggered by the signal of a motion sensor.
